At our consultation, Mr Patel explained fully what the operation entailed, did an examination and confirmed the diagnosis, listened to our questions and responded to them. I have a history of a blood clotting disorder and Mr Patel reassured us that he would be in contact with the teams responsible for this before the operation to ensure that all tests and medications required will be done before the operation. He was reassuring, listened to us, attentive to our concerns and gave clear explanations. His aftercare was also exemplary especially as I had a complication 2 days post-operatively. He dealt with the emergency swiftly and obtained care for me urgently even though he was away on a course himself. We are grateful for his care pre, during and post-operatively.
